Film:

Athena - dir Romain Gavras

Recently, I had the pleasure of watching Romain Gavras' film "Athena,". It's an absolute gem. The movie's remarkable realism, particularly in the light of recent incidents in France, struck a chord with me. The use of single-take shots and the continuous flow of action throughout the film make it a truly cinematic masterpiece. I was so captivated by the storytelling and direction that I'm planning to watch it again soon, this time with a keen eye for studying it. Trust me, it comes highly recommended!

Campaign: NY Times - The Truth is Essential

When I stumbled upon the NY Times campaign video "The Truth is Essential", it felt like a convergence of my editing vision with a powerful message. Every time I watch this video, it sends shivers down my spine. The way it artfully conveys the importance of truth and journalistic integrity is truly inspiring. If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so immediately. It’s 2 minutes.

Album: Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers - A Lyrical Journey

Though I usually find myself listening to individual tracks lately, Kendrick Lamar's album "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers" was an exception that breaks the norm. His artistry and storytelling shine through each track, creating a captivating and thought-provoking experience from start to finish. If you're looking for an album that offers a seamless musical journey with profound lyricism, this is one to explore.

Exhibition: Helmet Newton Museum

I recently visited the Helmut Newton Museum, seeking inspiration, and I left with more than I could have imagined. Helmut Newton's photography surpasses the boundaries of fashion photography, making him a trailblazer in his field. The museum showcases his iconic works that continue to inspire generations of photographers. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the art of photography and the creative genius of an artist who defied convention. (Tip: entry is free on first sunday of every month)

Gig: Rave the Planet - Dancing Through Berlin's Heart

This summer, I had the extraordinary opportunity to attend the Berlin Parade's "Rave the Planet" event and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Being part of the pulsating crowd, dancing through the heart of Berlin as the sun set and reaching Brandenburger Tor, was an electrifying adventure. The energy, the music, and the collective joy of the crowd created an atmosphere of pure euphoria. It was an event I had only intended to pass by, but it turned out to be an unexpectedly exhilarating and fun-filled occasion. Definitely will be there next year as well!
